Soooo.................

I'm walking through Target............me and all 4 kiddos and I hear Katelin,

"MOMMY.......Look at my Boobies!"

And this is what I see..............

Yeap......that would be Katelin holding a lady's bra up to herself..........Crazy Kid!!!

Date Night?!?!

Yeah those don't happen too often at our house but this past Saturday............it actually did happen!!!

My mom watched all the kiddos and Chet and I headed out...............

We went to Longhorn for dinner........YUMMY!!!

I even had a drink and this a yummy yummy steak and baked sweet potato........

It was soooo good..........I really wanted another drink but at $6.50 a pop, I decided not too!

We were going to see a movie after dinner but we were pushing it on time so we decided to skip the movie and we headed to the bookstore instead. We bought some books for the kids and then went to Walmart and got ice cream to take home.

I know, I know......pretty pathetic for a night out without kids but we enjoyed having some time to ourselves and I am so greatful to have a husband who wants to be with his family and not out doing other things.

Maybe we can fit another date night in before next year and maybe we will make it to the movie next time!!!

Who's The Boss???

 That's Right...........I'm the Boss!!! And Evan is already rolling his eyes about it!

You Scream, I Scream, Evan Screams for Ice Cream!!!

 Do you know what happens when Katelin leaves a leftover bag of Easter candy on the kitchen floor???

This happens.......

 And this is what was pulled out of his mouth!!!

I bet he enjoyed that little snack, have I mentioned this boy has yet to find a food he does not like?!?!?

He seems to have a bit of a sweet tooth because ice cream is one of his favorite things. He screams like a little girl while waiting for bites of it. So the other day I gave him a special treat.........

Going, Going, Gone!!!

 Oh Wait........I still have some on my fingers!!!!

Spiders and Frogs......Oh My!!!

Living in the country we see lots of critters and sometimes these 3 kids of mine like to catch them.....

and on this day.........

 this poor toad was their victim.....

 it got caught and toted around and then......

they let it go! What???? Did you really think I was going to say they did something mean! Not my kiddos they all have the kindest of hearts and they know how to treat all the little critters........

I, on the other hand............found a critter that didn't have such a kind fate!

YES.....it was in my house!

YES....it was HUGE!

And YES.....i'm pretty sure that is an egg sack on it's back!
And No.....I did not get that close to get a picture, I put my zoom lens on my camera!

Now I do not like spiders but when I see one I will kill it......no big deal.

That is until I see one big enough to eat one of my kids and one that has more hair than my husband!

Of Course, noone was home to kill this spider for me so that left me with a dilemma. For about an hour I kept checking to make sure it was still there because I didn't want it to go somewhere and let it's eggs hatch. I kept calling Chet (who hates spiders more than me) and he kept telling me that I had to kill it before it got away. He suggested that I get the air rifle and shoot it.....Yeah Right!  Then I went to check and it was gone........luckily it had just moved to the side of the step.

I finally realized something had to be done so...............

I went across the street and got my neighbor!

Thank Goodness he was home, he came over and he squashed it for me. He even wrapped it up and disposed of it at his house so it was far far away from me. So Thank You Dean.....you saved the day!

About a week ago we went to Lee's Summit for a graduation party. It was at a park and the kids had a blast......so here are some pics..........

We had a great time and then shortly after we left......Katelin puked all over Daddy's truck. So we pulled over on the highway and Daddy almost puked cleaning it up. She wasn't sick but had drank a pop rather quickly and I think that just upset her little tummy.

Later that night we were in the basement because of tornado warnings. Little did we know that the storms that weekend would cause so much devastation to our south, my heart is broken for the people of Joplin but that is a whole other post that I will share shortly.

After a busy day I had some tired and cranky kids....it made for a long hour in the basement!
