Katelin dance.....her final year!

Being silly before her first competition!

So last year we signed Katelin up for the mini competition team, it was supposed to be minimal cost and only 3 competitions so I thought why not?!?!?

Her bff Sage was doing it so it was something they could enjoy together.

I am not a dance mom, it isn't something I really enjoy but I was so proud of these girls, it was an experience and i'm glad we did it. I am also glad it was just 1 year and not something Katelin fell in love with. Had it been I would have done it again,

These competitions required a whole day of participation for 5 minutes on stage and I cannot express enough how good these 2 were, no whining or complaining at all.

Grabbing a bite to eat after one of the competitions.

The Firefly's dance team.

Silly girls.....I hope their friendship stays strong, they make a pretty awesome duo!

After their regular dance recital.....she loves to get roses!

I'm so proud of Katelin, she was a part of Top Performance Dance for 4 years, we enrolled her in tumbling at the beginning of this year and she went for a month and decided to take a break. I guess it was meant to be because the studio closed down the next month. It was a big mess, the owner took money from a lot of people, luckily we didn't lose any. It was a nice studio, it's sad to see what happened. It was a good experience for Katelin and i'm glad she has those memories.

Strawberry Picking!

We happen to live 10 minutes from Geigringers Orchard and have never been there so this week we finally went!

One of Chet and Rylie's perfect strawberries

I was surprised by how much everyone seem to enjoy it, even......

Daddy!

It was pretty muddy so Luke hung out in his stroller for the most part.....

but eventually he wanted out!

Kinley got right to picking berries and taste testing them.....I told her no more until we wash them, hopefully no bugs were on that one!

Evan would pick a berry then ask me if it was a good one and he did this over and over and over again......he was proud of his berries though!

Katelin does not like strawberries but she was more than happy to help pick them!

I was maybe most surprised by how into it Owen got, he was ahead of us the whole time finding the ripest ones.

Rylie was very picky with what she picked.....

she stayed back with Chet, they are convinced their berries were the best. They wouldn't even combine theirs with ours!

There were a couple fun little things to play on.....

My loves!

Am I really old enough to be her mom?!?!? I don't feel like I am.....growing up gorgeous!!!!!

It was a fun outing, hoping to go back in a month or two when they have peaches and blackberries.

Last day of School!

We are  2 weeks into summer with what are now a 8th grader, 5th grader and a 2nd grader.

My gorgeous girl only has 1 year of middle school left and she will be off to high school....crazy!

Katelin will be our only kid at Nike next year!

Because this kid is off to middle school with Rylie next year!

They kinda make a big deal with the 4th graders last day.....

Owen and his friend Josiah at the 4th grade breakfast!

This kid....always being goofy!

Getting his awards

Very proud of him this year.....

even though he is a little jokester!

And at the end of the day they play music as the 4th graders make their final walk down the halls of Nike as Nike students.
I'm sure for many kids this really is their final walk but with 4 still to get through Nike....no doubt that Owen will be back!!!!!

A quick trip to.....

our state capital!

I love that nearly 14 years of marraige and we still hold hands!
June 1 2015

Chet put money in the meter and went to get a title so.....

the kids (minus Rylie) and I decided to go for a walk.

There were some really cool statues....this one is dedicated to the pioneer women!

They look so small sitting on the steps.

She is a good big sister, loves to love on the littles!

A memorial for the Kansas veterans who lost their lives....

The kids knew exactly who this was.....

and were excited to pose with Abe Lincoln!!!

Luke was just happy to be running around, he was going through his take off phase, arms behind his back like he was ready to take off!

Then daddy came out and it was time to head back home, it was a fun little outing though!!!!
