Time to Celebrate....Owen is turning 8!!!!

Owen is 8.....hard to believe!
We went with a sports theme this year and had his party at the civic center again! We had his party on the 3rd but we definitely had a mini celebration on the 2nd.......

My O....love this picture of him! He picked the Mexican restaurant here in town for his birthday dinner!

 

I love that Rylie and Owen are so close, they have been every since they were itty bitty, I hope it never ever changes!

 

He was a little embarrassed when they brought him the sombrero, dessert and sang to him....

 

but he enjoyed it!

 

After dinner he got to open presents from us and Grammy.....clothes, remote control 4 wheelers and a laptop so now he will stay off of ours! We got a great deal on it and it should last him a long time!

Then the next day it was party time.....
 

 

Lots of kids, friends and fun.....

 

 

 

The pinata....only Owen got to swing at it, I had too much candy in it and it came crashing down but.....

they all got the goods.....

even the little ones!

Katelin loved having her friend Sage there to play with.....how cute are they?!?!?!

And we had to have a match of tug a war.....

with big kids and all!

Happy Happy Bithday to my most wonderful, sweet, caring and loveable Owen.....our lives wouldn't be the same without him in it.....we love you forever and ever!!!!!

Every once in a while we end up with 4 kids in our bed, that makes 6 of us total....we don't all fit in the king size bed to well and Yes, I actually was squeezed in there between Kinley and Chet!

Look at that sweet sweet little face.....oh I love her sooooo much and she loves sitting in her new highchair it is really handy when i'm making dinner and she can still see me!

I had to share one more picture from this day because my beautiful girl finally got her ears pierced after years of wanting to but always being to scared to do it......she looks so pretty with her new earrings.

This child wears me out but I that's okay....i'm grateful she is here and healthy and able to wear me out and drive me bananas!!!! I am also thankful when she goes to sleep at night and I get a little quiet time!

My redneck kids figured out a way to go sledding without it (Owen and Dylan get the credit)



Mulch sledding is apparently just as much fun!

Owen has been struggling a little bit in school especially with reading so we are working really hard on it at home.

One night Katelin and I climbed up on the top bunk of his bed with him so he could read us a story......


eventually Evan joined us too.....

Owen did a great job, i'm proud of him....he is getting there! This particular night he chose a rather popular book....can you name it????

While your thinking about it....I will share a pic of my Ry reading a book, she reads in bed every night before lights out....

currently she is really enjoying a chicken soup for the soul book, I used to read those all the time!

And of course Katelin wanted her picture taken with one of her books!
