we love our Daddy soooo much but for now I will just share with you one of those reasons.....
He takes the time to paint his little girls fingernails when nobody else had time to do it and it was even during a Chiefs game!!!
Welcome to our blog...a memory book in the making! I (Shannon) am married to my best friend Chet and together we own a tree service. He brought 3 incredible kids (who are now grown) into our marriage Matthew,Cheston and Jakee. And together we have had 6 more...Rylie, Owen, Katelin, Evan, Kinley and baby Luke!

It's beginning to feel a lot like christmas.....
at least around our house it is! While winter is my least favorite season it is bearable because christmas is my most favorite holiday, and there are a few tell tale signs that it is just around the corner..........
such as the cutest little santa's helper that I have ever seen!
The stockings are all hung, well all but Evans which is on backorder but will be here in time for Santa (and yes that is the wires to the tree lights that my redneck husband stapled to the wall so the puppys wouldn't chew on it, hey at least he didn't use ducktape.)
Mr. Big head has made his appearance in our living room, one of my favorite snowmen ever!
Our santa plate is out for display until we fill it with cookies and carrots on xmas eve. (Again Evan's name will be added before the big day)
The nativity scene is out and on display, however it is often being played with by my children. I wasn't going to let them play with it but there eyes light up every year when we get it out and I think it is one of there favorite things to do at xmas and they are making memories they will never forget. I try to instill in my kids that xmas is about celebrating the birth of jesus but it is also about making special memories and this is a way they get to enjoy both.
And what could be sweeter than my own little angel taking baby jesus and as she says his mom and dad to bed with her!
Oh, I almost forgot to show you how everyone outside of our house knows xmas is near......
These pictures really doesn't do it justice, it looks very pretty. It's simple but pretty. No offense to anyone because I believe it's to each their own but I hate the big blow up decorations or when people just have decorations all over there yard, I just think it looks tacky but I like how ours turns out, it makes me smile everytime we pull into our driveway at night:)

The presents are all wrapped and under the tree. And with the exception of a few small items, all the xmas shopping is DONE! So we will spend December doing fun things such as baking, visiting Santa, polar express night, driving around looking at lights.... so stay tuned for lots of fun pictures!

Thanksgiving!
We had a nice Thanksgiving, thanks to our wonderful host......
Natalie and her cute turkey apron!
Can you guess who's first thanksgiving this was????
Well of course you can, the first of many for 2 very special little boys who have come into our family this year in very differant but both very special ways and we are so thankful for both of them!
And we can't forget the other little ones who we are so thankful for......
There are no words for what my husband and kids mean to me, they are my everything and I love them beyond anything I could have ever imagined!
I'm grateful my kids are happy and healthy, I so wish all kids could be happy and healthy because no child deserves not to be.
I'm grateful for Matthew, Cheston and Jakee and I wish we got to see them more and I hope we change that real soon.
I'm grateful to be lucky enough to have found and married my best friend and to be one of the lucky people to be in a truly happy marraige.
I'm grateful to have my mom in my life everyday, she does so much for my family and is so important to my children, she really is irreplaceable.
I'm grateful that we have a roof over our heads and food on our table everyday, again I wish these were two things noone ever had to go without.
I'm grateful our lives are so filled with LOVE, this is something noone should have to live without!!!
I could go on and on because there really is so much I am grateful for, such as our troops who fight for us everyday, all my wonderful friends and extended family and so much more....we really are truly blessed!

What in the world does a 2 year old do when..........
she see's a griddle sitting on the kitchen table????
Well she makes some eggs, of course!!! And let me tell you, they were the best plastic eggs I have ever ate!
And one more picture just because it puts a smile on my face and I can't image it wouldn't put one on yours!

You may remember............
seeing this picture not so long ago!
This isn't exactly one of those milestones I hope to get a picture of for each of my children but it looks like I am half way there because.............
Katelin got her own BIG goose egg in about the exact same spot as Owen. Let's hope Rylie and Evan never get matching ones!
And since i'm sharing pictures of bumps, how about a picture of my sweet boy in his bumbo......
He sure likes it:)

Fall Fun
So last week during some of the beautiful fall weather, Daddy went and got a big leaf pile for the kids to jump and play in and they had a blast. So here are some pictures from that. This week hasn't been as much fun.....we all have colds, Evan has pink eye, Owen was throwing up over the weekend and Rylie has a bacterial infection on her face but at least we are getting it over with before Thanksgiving!
Also to those of you who recieve this in your email.....not that it matters and probably noone cares but me because you get the same content either way but if you go to the actual blog website (faragefamily.blogspot.com) you get to see the pretty backgrounds that I change each season vs. seeing the content on boring white background. Again i'm sure i'm the only one who cares about the background but hey just thought i'd let you all know, lol!!!
