Christmas 2013

We had a wonderful Christmas.....the days leading up to Christmas were very busy and hectic but also wonderful and I will share about that very soon but first I wanted to share our Christmas.....

A few quick pics of my little loves all ready for bed so Santa could arrive......

And they each picked out a cookie for Santa and Evan reminded us that we needed to leave carrots for the reindeer then he decided they needed some grapes too:)

They all slept in the living room (except Kinley although she would have loved too), even Grammy laid down with them and as soon as they were all asleep she snuck to the couch!

As soon as they were asleep it was time for Santa to arrive.....he had to work around all the gifts that were under the tree and around the fireplace, we had gifts for 8 kids plus for 6 grown ups from us and from Grammy so NO the are not all gifts for our kids from Chet and I.....they may be a little spoiled but not that much!!!!

I heard him finally leave about 1:30am.....those darn procrastinating elves should've had everything put together ahead of time!!!!

Santa was very kind this year.....

He brought Rylie a wire mannequin (she loves to pick out her clothes the night before) and a pair of flips headphones (which flip out to become speakers)! She loves her Miss Me jeans and new keyboard from mom and dad! Lucky her that we found a deal on the jeans and Grammy got her a pair too:)

Owen was thrilled with his giant nerf rifle and guns from Santa.....and we got him the Disney Infinity  that he wanted so bad, it seems to be a big hit!

Santa must know that Katelin is beginning to really like Barbies, he brought her an entire Barbie RV, it will go great with the Barbie house we got her (as soon as Daddy gets it put together today)!

Evan got a bike from Santa, he can't wait for it to warm up so he has more room to ride it, the chainsaw like Daddys was also a big hit and the Knight costume Aunt Natty got him is one of his favorite things!!!!

And my sweet Kinley, she had no clue what was going on so she did what she does best......wandered around checking out what everyone was doing. She did find a box and a crayon which made her happy and Evan's knight hat was a big hit with her. We got her a toy kitchen but it is still in the box, she doesn't seem to mind, daddy is putting it together tonight!!!

Oh....there was one more very special present under the tree that Daddy and I were particularly anxious to open.......Our friend Debbie had our sonogram picture and wrapped a balloon for us and we had no idea if it was a pink or a blue balloon. My gut had been telling me pink but the fact that I only heard 3 keys being typed during the sonogram had me fairly convinced it would be blue. We patiently waited while the kids opened presents and until Brandin and Natalie arrived to open it and when we did..............

we were beyond thrilled to see a blue balloon!!!!!! I couldn't be more excited for the news, we will have perfect balance with 3 girls and 3 boys!

Now the name game begins.....wish us luck!!!!

We are hoping to get together with the big kids one day next week, it is so hard sometimes to arrange time with them but it looks like it may work out. We don't get to see them nearly as much as we would like but they are all busy adults now and everyone has a lot going on.

We did head to my grandma's about 3:30 for dessert and gifts from her. It is stressful to have the kids there so I don't take a lot of pics because i'm busy making sure the kiddos don't get too crazy but I did get a few of my Kin wearing her xmas headband!!!!

Drew and Cindy were there as well and they bought everyone a little something too, it was very nice of them. We also made the announcement to everyone there that we were expecting. It is not news my grandmother wants to hear so we tend to put off telling her but she seemed to take it well. No matter what she will love the little guy when he gets here!!!!!

We hope everyone had a Very Merry Christmas as well and that 2014 is very kind to you all!!!!
I plan on getting my blog caught up this week so stay tuned for lots and lots of post!!!!!!
